Inauguration Ceremony
The international exhibition was inaugurated by Shri. Kapil Sibal, Honorable Union Minister, Human Resource Development, Government of India, who also unveiled the show catalogue at the ceremony.

After the eventful opening ceremony, the plenary session followed with valuable exchange of industry updates amongst an eminent panel.
The Exhibition commenced with the traditional lamp lighting ceremony by Shri. Vishweshwar Hegde Kageri, Honorable Minister for Primary Secondary Education, Government of Karnataka along with senior Presidium members of the Worlddidac Association and other invited dignitaries. Announcing the launch, the honorable Minister said, “This exhibition will no doubt enable us to get insight into various systematic changes that are taking place in education sector, so that the younger generation will benefit from the new initiatives, which will be able to compete with contemporary global challenges”.

Over the 3 days, the exhibition also witnessed the presence of various ministers, secretaries of state and other invited dignitaries & luminaries from the Government (both at the Union & the State level) and the Industry.
The Announcement & Launch of the INDIA DIDACTICS Association
The Launch of INDIA DIDACTICS Association (IDA) was also announced during the Opening Ceremony of WORLDDIDAC INDIA 2010.
The Association shall be a conglomerate of all suppliers, manufacturers, services & solutions providers to the education & training industry in the country. Announcing the launch, Mr. Dominic Savage, President, Worlddidac Association said, “We have observed that the investments in the Indian education sector has increased manifold in the last four years. This sudden boom is driving the need for cutting edge technology & infrastructure to add value. Hence, there is a need to showcase & bring global technology & products to the Indian market and open doors to sustained progress. WORLDDIDAC INDIA 2009 & INDIA DIDACTICS ASSOCIATION aims to cater to this need by bringing everyone in the industry under one umbrella.”

Exhibitor Rendezvous
A Gala Dinner hosted by the INDIA DIDACTICS Association and sponsored by British Educational Suppliers Association (BESA), was held on 25th September 2009 to welcome all exhibitors, supporters, speakers, representatives from various associations, ministry officials, media & other prominent invited dignitaries etc. and thank them for their valuable support.
The networking evening met with a high level of interest, giving those present the opportunity to network with those present from the educational supply & training industry and unwind in an informal & pleasant settings while experiencing India's rich and renowned cultural & culinary heritage.
